Option 4: Mixed Budget

What: You choose to mix two or more of the other options, selecting the elements you want to control and the ones you want your local authority to manage. For example, you might receive local authority-arranged care through Option 3 twice a week but would like to purchase specialist equipment that will enable you to meet a specific personal outcome through Option 2.

Who: This option is ideal for people who are happy with some of the services their local authority can provide, but who might want to take varying levels of control over setting up and managing other services that suit them.

Support: Depending on how you decide to mix the options, you’ll receive ongoing support from your dedicated SDS Advisor, ISF Coordinator and local authority support worker to develop your support plan, make sure you know your responsibilities and manage your budget.
