Support Worker
Peterhead
£12.49 per hour
3-5 mornings per week 8 – 9.30am
Thursday Afternoon/Evening 3 – 8:30pm
Saturday or Sunday 10 – 1pm
Ad hoc days out
(Hours for Weekend can be flexible)
We are looking for support for our son who is a bright and engaging 14-year-old with a physical disability to assist with his independent living skills and sporting activities. He requires support with personal care, showering, dressing, physio/exercises, communication, feeding and sporting activities (adapted skiing, sailing, surfing). We are looking for someone with a really good sense of humour and who is physically fit (pushing a manual wheelchair on all terrains, an element of manual handling; even dressing can be a bit of a workout!). The applicant must have a clean driving licence and be willing to drive a large vehicle and can be flexible. Must be comfortable working as part of a team and also independently at times.
Membership of the PVG Scheme will be required for this post.
