I’m looking to employ a Personal Assistant and Activities Coordinator to help me enjoy outdoor pursuits and be active in my local community, and to assist me in my own home.

I’ve got quite complex care needs, so you’ll need to be willing to provide personal care, including moving and handling. However, I’m also passionate about the outdoors and really want someone to help me to get out and about, especially on my bike. Discovering and accompanying me on new and safe cycling and walking routes in my local area could be a long-term project for someone who’s fit, healthy, and ideally a driver, and would make a huge difference to my life.

The right candidate will be welcomed into our busy, pet-friendly family home here in Huntly, with opportunities to join us on weekends away and even holidays.

You’ll be joining a small team of carers who’d be happy to chat with you about their experiences working with me and my family. You’ll also be shadowing them when starting out.

Experience is not essential, as full training will be provided. My mum will be your employer, and she’d be happy to answer any questions you might have about the role. If you’re energetic, enthusiastic and willing to help me enjoy new activities in my home and out and about, we’d love to hear from you.
